Introduction of Cost Reflective Tariff

- It has been found necessary to make tariff revision in order to ensure the financial stability of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board and to provide a continues and uninterrupted water supply to the public. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Water Supply to revise the current water and drainage tariff enabling to cover the recurrent operational cost and capital debt servicing liabilities of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, was approved by the Cabinet.
