Legalization of the Constitution of the Sri Lanka National Commission for UNESCO (SLNCU)

- It has been identified the necessity of establishing the Sri Lanka National Commission for UNESCO legally by formalizing and strengthening the same with sufficient authority. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft prepared by the Legal Draftsman as per the approval granted by the Cabinet meeting held on 2021‑06‑14 to draft necessary legislation to establish the Sri lanka National Commission for UNESCO. As such the proposal made by the Minister of Education to publish the said draft Bill in the Government Gazette and present the same thereafter in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
