Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resources Development Scholarship Prgramme

- The Government of Japan has introduced the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resources Development Scholarship Prgramme in the year 2010 to provide opportunities to the executive grade officers in the Public Sector to follow Postgraduate degree courses in the recognized Universities in Japan. 195 opportunities to follow Postgraduate degree courses and 10 opportunities to follow PhDs have been granted under the said programme so far. It has been agreed to provide a grant of Japan Yen 282 million (Approximately Rs. 761 million) for the year 2022 under this programme. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to sign the Exchange of Notes for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
