Twenty Second Amendment to the Constitution

- The policy approval has been received at the Cabinet meeting held on 2022‑06‑20 for the preliminary draft on the Twenty Second Amendment to the Constitution. Accordingly, the Legal Draftsman has prepared the draft Bill on Twenty Second Amendment to the Constitution and the Attorney General has assured that the said draft Bill is not inconsistent with the Constitution. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the draft Bill on the Twenty Second Amendment to the Constitution in the Government Gazette and submit the same, thereafter to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
