Amendment to the Registration of Documents Ordinance

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2021‑07‑19 has granted approval to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft legislations to amend the Registration of Documents Ordinance for introducing new provisions to prevent irregularities and frauds in respect of lands. Accordingly, the draft prepared by the Legal Draftsman has been received the clearance of the Attorney General. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the said draft Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same, thereafter to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
