Amending the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Act, No.06 of 1982

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2021 01 04 to amend the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Act, No.06 of 1982, incorporating the provisions enabling to appoint a representative of the General Treasury and the Secretary, in charge of the subject or his representative to the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the bill drafted by the Legal Draftsman. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Mass Media to publish the said bill in the Government Gazette and thereafter, present the same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
