Making Payments to the Suppliers who have submitted bids for the supply of Laboratory Equipments, consumables and reagents

- Taking into account the sudden increase in the exchange rates due to the prevailing economic situation in the country, approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2022‑04‑25 to make payments as per the exchange rates prevailing to the date of clearance of pharmaceuticals and surgical instruments for which Letters of Credit have already been opened. Accordingly, the Cabinet approved proposal made by the Minister of Health to make payments also for the suppliers who have opened Letters of credit for the import of laboratory equipment, consumables and reagents, following the said system and to make payments for the other relevant suppliers including the procurement of which quotations have been invited and for which bids have been opened by the State Pharmaceutical Corporation, based on the foreign exchange rate prevailing to the date on which relevant payments are made to the Letters of credit.
