Gazette Notification published under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act, No. 40 of 1979

- A set of new HS National Sub Divisions have been created to facilitate the international compliance related goods, taking into consideration the proposals presented by various institutions. The HS Codes so created have been published in the Government Gazette dated 2022 01 11 as per the provisions of the Revenue Protection Act, No.19 of 1962. Thereafter, the said HS National Sub Divisions have been promulgated as an Order by the Minister of Trade, under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act No.40 of 1979 with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Trade to present the said Order published in the Government Gazette dated 2022 01 11, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
