Entering into Agreements for Research Collaborations granted for Women Scientists of Developing Countries under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

- Research Projects of five (05) Sri Lankan Women Scientists have been selected for providing research grants considering those as suitable Research Projects for the Early Career Followship Programme implemented by the 'Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World' operating under the UNESCO. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to enter into Memoranda of Understanding between the Universities in which the relevant Scientists serve and the UNESCO for obtaining the relevant grants and enter into Grant Agreements between the said women scientists and the UNESCO, was approved by the Cabinet.
