Entering into a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ehime Prefecture, Japan for promoting Employment and Training Opportunities in the Agricultural and other Fields

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2021‑07‑26 has granted approval to pursue action as per the proposal presented by the Ehime Prefecture, Japan for providing opportunities for Sri lankan technical interns to be engaged in employments available in the field of agriculture and other fields including food processing in the relevant area and in the Citrus cultivation in particular which is popular in the said area. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Labour to enter into a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Market Diversification and the Ehime Prefecture, Japan with a view to securing the relevant employment and training opportunities for the Sri Lankans with special skills, was approved by the Cabinet.
