Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of India for the development of fishery harbours in Sri Lanka

- The Government of India has concurred to provide assistance for the development of fishery harbours in the mutually agreed locations. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Fisheries to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries to seek the co‑operation of the Government of India for the development of fishery harbours in Point Pedro, Pesalai, Gurunagar, Balapitiya and other mutually agreed locations, was approved by the Cabinet.
