Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Financial Grant Facilitation from the Government of India for the implementation of the Sri Lanka Unique Digital Identity (SL-UDI) Framework

- The Government of India has expressed its willingness to award a grant of Rs.300 million for the implementation of the Sri Lanka Unique Digital Identity (SL-UDI) Framework. It has been proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties to obtain the said grant and clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President in his capacity as the Minister of Technology to sign the said Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
