Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) and the Department of Agriculture

- A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Agricultural Mechanization has been entered into between the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences and the Department of Agriculture in the year 2017. The period of the said agreement has expired by now and therefore, it has been proposed to enter into a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties. Under the proposed MoU, the two parties are expected to work together related to the fields of the establishment of model villages of agri-machinary and equipment, exchange of experts on agri-machinary and equipment, conducting training programmes, establishment of model Agricultural Mechanization Centres and conducting joint researches on agricultural mechanization. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture to sign the relevant Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties, was approved by the Cabinet.
