Acquisition of a land to establish a new police station in Nooriya in the Deraniyagala Police Division

- A portion of land called Nooriya Watta at No.110, Dodawatta Grama Niladhari Division in the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat Division in Kegalle District, has been identified to establish the Nooriya Police Division. With the establishment of the said police station, it will be able to render an efficient service to the general public in the area while ensuring security by curbing crimes and corruption taking place in the area. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Public Security to acquire a land in extent of 02 acres from the Nooriya watta land belonging to the Janatha Estate Development Board under the Ministry of Agriculture, for the establishment of the said police station, was approved by the Cabinet.
