BIMSTEC Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously to sign the BIMSTEC Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters. As such, the matters submitted by the Foreign Minister that his Ministry has taken necessary action to have the said Convention signed by the Ministry of Justice with each member states of the BIMSTEC Organization during the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economical Co operation (BIMSTEC) summit scheduled to be held on 2022 03 30, were noted by the Cabinet.
