Procurement of Locally Manufactured Pharmaceuticals, Surgical Instruments and Medical Laboratory Consumables

- It is the Government policy to promote the production of all the locally manufactured Pharmaceuticals, Surgical instruments and Medical Laboratory Consumables produced in accordance with the international standards. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to introduce a transparent and efficient mechanism for the procurement of locally manufactured Pharmaceuticals, Surgical instruments and Medical Laboratory Consumables and purchase such items in future, in accordance with the said mechanism, was approved by the Cabinet.
