Providing a wheat flour subsidy for Estate Workers' Families

- The Cabinet, at its meeting held on 2022‑01‑18 has granted approval to the proposals in the memorandum submitted by the Minister of Finance on “To notify the Cabinet of Ministers on implementation of Key proposals to mitigate the impact of the economic difficulties encountered by the people”. Among those proposals, the proposal on the provision of a wheat flour subsidy for Estate Worker's Families was considered by a Committee headed by the Minister of Trade and submitted recommendations. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Trade to provide 15 kg of wheat flour per month for 115,867 beneficiary families identified as per the recommendation of the said committee, under concessionary prices, was approved by the Cabinet.
