Entering into Agreements for the implementation of a Research Project between the La Jolla Institute, USA and General Sir john Kotelawala Defence University (KDU)

- An education collaboration is maintained between the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) and La Jolla Institute, USA for the Allergy and Immunology, from 2017 and accordingly, funds amounting to US$ 505,840 have been received to the General Sir john Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) for implementing research projects. Both parties have reached a consensus to develop the existing education collaboration further with a view to promoting research tasks for early detection, understanding and reduction of Tuberculosis and exchanging of students and staff. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E the President in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to sign a Sub-award Agreement and Material Transfer Agreement pertaining to the implementation of the relevant Project, was approved by the Cabinet.
