Rural Development Programme of “Gama Samaga Pilisandarak (Dialogue with the Village) - Hundred Thousand Works through the Budget”

- According to a proposal made by the Budget - 2022 with a view to strengthening the production economy, it has been planned to implement the Rural Development Programme “Gama Samaga Pilisandarak (Dialogue with the Village) - Hundred Thousand Works through the Budget” covering 14,021 Grama Niladhari Divisions in 336 Divisional Secretariat Divisions countrywide. Under this programme, the projects identification process has been entirely decentralized so as to identify the public requirements by the public itself. Accordingly, the Cabinet noted the matters furnished by the Minister of Finance informing that arrangements have been made to commence the planned programme on 03rd February 2022.
