Construction of the New Bus Stand in Akuressa

- The Akuressa Urban Development Project has been commenced in the year 2012 and as its first phase, 4.5 acres of land has been developed and preliminary work has been done for the construction of the main bus stand and for commercial developments. Approval has been received to construct the main bus stand with 20 terminals and other facilities in an area of 1.75 acres, as its second phase. Accordingly, the Cabinet approved the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to implement the said project during 2022-2023 at an estimated cost of Rs.474 million according to the final architectural and engineering plans of the project.
