Extension of the duration of the Finance Programme implemented under the Smallholder Tea and Rubber Revitalization (STaRR)Project

- A Rural Finance Programme was implemented during the period from 2019‑2021 for the purpose of income generation of target beneficiaries and for the market diversification affairs under the Smallholder Tea and Rubber Revitalization Project which is implemented under the financial assistance of the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD). However, anticipated objectives of the said project have not been accomplished due to the Covid-19 pandemic and therefore, the proposal made by the Minister of Plantation to extend the duration of the said loan programme up to 31st December 2022, was approved by the Cabinet.
