Granting a plot of land to the Macksons Bathware (Pvt)Ltd from the Raigama Green Industrial Estate of the Millaniya Divisional Secretariat Division

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2021‑06‑07 to implement the special programme of granting investment opportunities to establish industries island wide and to develop businesses in Divisional Secretariat Divisions level. The Macksons Bathware (Pvt.) Ltd., a leading company with 50 years of experience in the field of tile manufacturing has submitted a project proposal to obtain a plot of land to establish an industry of tiles, bathroom sets and sanitary ware manufacturing with an investment of approximately Rs.6,000 million. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Industries to allocate 20 acres of undeveloped land located adjacent to the New Chattel Estate belonging to the Land Reforms Commission, which is presently being developed to establish an Industrial and Technological High Zone (Raigama Green Industrial Estate) of the Millaniya Divisional Secretariat Divison of Kalutara district, on 35 years of long term lease basis, to the Macksons Bathware (Pvt.) Ltd., for the proposed project, was approved by the Cabinet.
