The Animal Welfare Bill

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2020‑10‑19 has granted approval to finalize the drafting of the Animal Welfare Bill expeditiously. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received to the draft Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and present the same thereafter in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
