Purchase of local organic fertilizer for paddy cultivation

- The proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture to commence the fertilizer procurement process for the provision of local organic fertilizer to the farmers for the Yala season 2022 and to purchase eco‑friendly local fertilizer provided by the local manufactures for the Yala Season - 2022 as per the prescribed standards, by the two government fertilizer companies utilizing the provisions allocated under the fertilizer subsidy programme for the year 2022, taking into account the eco‑friendly fertilizer recommendations made by the Director General of Agriculture for the paddy cultivation, was approved by the Cabinet.
