Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Healthcare Cooperation

- It has been agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom on the mutually agreed matters including enhancing cooperation between both countries in health sector and ensuring the rights of healthcare professionals serving in the United Kingdom. Specially, it will be possible to receive the employment opportunities being generated in the health sector in the said country to Sri Lanka, subsequent to the breaking up of the United Kingdom from the European Union. Accordingly, the joint proposal made by the Minister of Labour, the Foreign Minister and the Minister of Health to sign the said Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
