Purchase of 750 Jeeps for the Sri Lanka Police

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2020‑11‑16 has granted approval to purchase 750 Jeeps for the Sri Lanka Police including 150 Jeeps for the Special Task Force of Police under the Indian Line of Credit. Accordingly, bids have been invited from the Companies recommended by the Indian Export-Import Bank and the proposal made by Minister of Public Security to award the relevant procurement to Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, India as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
