Procurement of 500 Nos. of 32 seater new buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board under the Indian Line of Credit

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 08 January 2020 has granted approval for the Procurement of 500 Nos. of 32- 35 seater new buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board under the Indian Line of Credit. Accordingly, bids have been invited from three pre-qualified Institutes for the procurement of buses. As such the proposal made by the Minster of Transport to award the procurement for the purchase of 500 Nos. of 32 seater new buses to the Ashok Leyland Limited, India as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee after evaluation of bids, was approved by the Cabinet.
