Revising the number of subsidy installments for rubber replanting and new planting

- The subsidy provided per hectare according to the presently functioning investment subsidy scheme for encouraging the Rubber cultivation is paid within a period of seven (07) years in 8 installments for replanting and new planting. Accordingly, Rs.350,000/- per hectare for replanting and Rs.300,000/- per hectare for new planting is paid in 8 installments. In view of encouraging the planters for Rubber plantation by rectifying the existing shortcomings of the scheme currently in operation, the proposal made by the Minister of Plantation to pay the subsidy for replanting and new planting of Rubber in 05 installments without amending the respective amount and also to pay an incentive of Rs.14,000/- per hectare to the planters of Rubber who grow Rubber trees up to 50 cm before the end of 05 years after planting, was approved by the Cabinet.
