Awarding a finance grant on behalf of Mr. Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana who was brutally assassinated at Sialkot in Pakistan

- Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana who had been serving as a Manager at a factory located in Sialkot area in Pakistan, was brutally assassinated by a group of thugs on 2021‑12‑03. Taking into consideration his immense contribution as an emigrant employee to the Sri Lankan economy for a period of more than 11 years, the proposal made by the Minister of Labour to award a grant of Rs.2.5 million on humanitarian basis, to his wife and children who became helpless due to his demise, for their welfare through the Welfare Fund of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, was approved by the Cabinet.
