The Project of Strengthening Capacity Building of Forensic Drug Analysis in the Criminal Justice System in Sri Lanka

- The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has agreed to award a Grant of USD 04 Million to implement a Project of Strengthening Capacity Building of Forensic Drug Analysis in the Criminal Justice System in Sri Lanka. Under the said Project, it has been planned to discharge the functions of enhancing laboratory equipment in narcotic drug and forensic toxicology laboratory, providing training on narcotic drugs and forensic toxicology and establishing a Laboratory Information Management System. Accordingly, in view of obtaining the said award, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice to sign a ''Record of Discussion'' including the ''Terms of Reference'' between the Department of External Resources, KOICA, Government Analyst Department and the Ministry of Justice, was approved by the Cabinet.
