Awarding Research Grants to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) from the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU)

- The Association of Commonwealth Universities has been established in the year 1913 with over 500 member institutions in more than 50 Commonwealth countries. Enhancing and supporting the excellence of higher education for the benefit of individuals and societies within the Commonwealth and beyond has been identified as the mission of this Association. Taking into consideration a project proposal submitted by the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) under the title of ''Gender awareness among KDU Community'', the Association of Commonwealth Universities has agreed to provide a Research Grant of GBP 1000 to implement the said Project. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E the President in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to obtain the said Grant through the Association of Commonwealth Universities, was approved by the Cabinet.
