Awarding of Phase II of the Contract for the construction of buildings required for the Faculty of Engineering Technology and BioSystems Technology of the University of Jaffna

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2019‑04‑30 to secure funds for the project for the construction of buildings required for the Faculty of Engineering Technology and BioSystems Technology of the University of Jaffna under the World Bank funded Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Develop (AHEAD) Operation Project. As such, bids have been called for constructing the respective buildings in Kilinochchi under Phase ‑II of the said Project, following the National Competitive Bidding Procedure and 10 bids have been submitted accordingly. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to award the respective contract to M/s Focus Marketing & Engineering Company (Pvt) Ltd., as per the recommendation made thereon by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
