Amendment to the Mediation Board Act No. 72 of 1988 (as amended)

- Mediation Boards are functioning under the Mediation Board Act No. 72 of 1988 covering most of the Divisional Secretariat Divisions countrywide. The Civil Law Reforms Sub Committee of the Ministry of Justice has identified the amendments that need to be made to the said Act to further implement this mediation process efficiently and effectively. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice to take necessary action to amend the Mediation Board Act No. 72 of 1988 incorporating the said amendments, was approved by the Cabinet.
