Agreement on Co-operation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters between Sri Lanka and Vietnam

- Consequent to a series of bilateral discussions held between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Vietnam, it has been proposed to enter into an Agreement on Co‑operation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs matters between the two countries. Accordingly, this proposed trade agreement will contribute for reducing trade transaction cost, accurate valuation and collection of border taxes and enforcement of regulations on prohibition, restriction and controlling of movement of restricted goods. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Finance to sign the proposed agreement agreed to between the two parties, was approved by the Cabinet.
