Amending the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101)

- The Civil Law Reforms Sub‑Committee appointed by the Minister of Justice has recommended the necessity of amending the existing provisions on issue and service of Summons and attention has been paid to the requirement of using commonly used communication methods at present such as E-mail and SMS, to serve Summons to the parties to a case. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice to formulate an amending Bill incorporating the amendments recommended by the said Committee, to amend the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101), was approved by the Cabinet.
