Prohibition of Obscene Publication Bill

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2020‑09‑21 to draft a bill to introduce a new law to take action with regard to the obscene publications produced through information technology and other means. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman. Therefore, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, to submit the said Bill in the Government Gazette, and thereafter present the same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
