Implementation of ''Colombo Bird Park'' Project, Madiwela, Sri Jayawadenepura

- Proposals have been invited under the Competitive Procurement Procedure to implement a Bird Park Project and related infrastructural facilities on Design, Construction, Financing, Operate basis at a block of land in extent of 37 acres 01 rood and 20.44 perch located at Madiwela, Sri Jayawadenepura belonging to the Urban Development Authority. The Standing Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee has recommended the proposal submitted by Colombo Bird Park (Pvt) Ltd. and approval of the Board of Management of Urban Development Authority has been received for the same. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to lease out the the relevant block of land to Colombo Bird Park (Pvt) Ltd. for a period of 30 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
