Paddy Purchasing Programme in the Yala Season - 2021

- Paddy harvesting in the Yala Season ‑ 2021 has been commenced by now and the Cabinet decided to take action to purchase Nadu paddy at Rs.55/- per kg by the Paddy Marketing Board with a view to purchasing paddy harvest of the farmers at a competitive price and to convert the stocks of paddy so purchased to rice and sell to the consumers at a reasonable price through the outlet network of Lanka Sathosa Limited.
