Increasing the number of “Nenasa” Educational TV Channels for continuation of the Learning - Teaching Process in the Education System during the COVID-19 Pandemic

- A project named ''Nenasa'' has been implemented by Dialog Axiata PLC through satellite technology since 2018 via two Sinhala and Tamil media channels dedicated for education. Under the programme, Dialog Axiata PLC has provided Televisions and Dialog connections to nearly 2,200 schools and no monthly charge is levied for the said connections. Dialog Axiata PLC has agreed to implement the ''Nenasa'' project via 04 channels including 02 new channels with effect from 07th September 2021 for continuation of the Learning‑Teaching Process in the education system during the COVID‑19 Pandemic and to increase the total number of channels up to 10 by 01st January 2022. As such, it was decided to grant the concurrence of the Cabinet of Ministers for the proposal made by the Minister of Education to implement the said project.
