Project to provide Indigenous Medicine to the public to control COVID-19 Pandemic

- In view of controlling the COVID‑19 pandemic prevailing island‑wide, it has been planned to implement a programme to provide local immunity boosting medicines and immunity boosting herbal gruel, covering all families in the country. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to provide a casket of medicines approved by the Formula Committee of the Department of Ayurveda, to every family in the country and to implement the same for 2.5 million families who have lost income during the Quarantine Curfew period under the First Stage and for all remaining families under its Second Stage, was approved by the Cabinet.
