Implementation of the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on ''Removal of Salary Anomalies in the Teachers' and Principals' Services'' appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers

- Cabinet, having considered the recommendations submitted thereto, subsequent to the negotiations conducted between the representatives of 33 Teachers', Principals' and Teacher Advisors' Unions and the Cabinet Sub-Committee appointed to examine the matter of removal of salary anomalies in the Teachers' and Principals' Services and submit recommendations to the Cabinet, decided as follows:

* Granting approval in principle, to implement the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub‑Committee.

* Declaring the Teachers' Service, Teacher Advisors' Service and Principals' Service as one Closed Service by a Gazette Notification prior to 2021‑11‑20.

* Taking necessary action to implement the salary revisions proposed by the Cabinet Sub‑Committee for the removal of salary anomalies in the Teachers' and Principals' Services by a budget proposal‑2022, in a phased out manner.

* Payment of a special allowance of Rs.5,000/- each for the Teachers and Principals engaged in their duties, for the months of September and October, 2021.

* Taking necessary action to implement the other proposals of the Cabinet Sub‑Committee by the Ministry of Education, in association with the Provincial Councils and other relevant authorities within 06 months.
