Appointing a Cabinet Sub-Committee to study the issues relating to salary anomalies in the Teachers’ and Principals’ Services

- The Cabinet conducted lengthy discussions in relation to the current situation occurred with regard to salary anomalies in the Teachers’ and Principals’ Services. Accordingly, the Cabinet decided to appoint a Cabinet Sub-Committee comprising of the following Ministers to further examine the matter, taking into consideration all relevant factors in this regard and submit the same to the Cabinet for consideration:

* Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma, Minister of Power

* Hon. Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Industries

* Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Environment

* Hon. Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister of Tourism.
