Purchase of locally produced liquid large volume parenterals for State sector

- The State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation has facilitated to the Kelun Lifesciences (Pvt) Limited, a local company, to construct a factory with the capacity of manufacturing 43 million of liquid large volume parenterals annually including normal saline, dextrose solution, Hartmann's solution and mannitol. Approval of the State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation has been received to the said factory and its productions and it is scheduled to supply its productions to the market from August, 2021. The State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation is expected to reach an agreement with the said company to secure liquid large volume parenterals locally. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to authorize the State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation to enter into an Agreement with M/s Kelun Lifesciences (Pvt) Limited, to secure required liquid large volume parenterals for the institutions coming under the purview of Ministry Health from that company, was approved by the Ministry.
