Purchase of surgical gauze from local suppliers required for the Government Hospitals and other Health Institutions

- Cabinet approval has been granted in the year 2012 to purchase annual surgical gauze requirement for the Medical Supply Division from local small scale manufacturers. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to purchase 30 million meters of surgical gauze for the year 2021 from 461 local suppliers at a sum of Rs. 774 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
