Alienating a block of land belonging to the Land Reforms Commission, on lease basis, for an educational and entertainment tourism project

- Fantasy Land Entertainment (Pvt) Limited has planned to implement a tourism project with educational and entertainment components, aiming at local and foreign tourists. The Board of Investment (BOI) has agreed with the said project and for this, the relevant Company has made a request to alienate a block of land in extent of 42 acres 01 rood and 1.5 perches, out of the land called Rathwaththa in the Divisional Secretariat Division of Ukuwela in Matale district, belonging to the Land Reforms Commission, on lease basis for a period of 30 years. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Lands, to alienate the relevant block of land to the said Company on long term lease basis, was approved by the Cabinet.
