Vesting the land where the old Chemical Factory in Paranthan is situated, with Paranthan Chemicals Limited on long term lease basis

- Paranthan Chemicals Limited, a State owned Company which functions within the purview of the Ministry of Industries, imports liquid Chlorine necessary for the water purification process from India and Bangladesh and supplies to the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWS&DB) as its main business venture. The said Company has planned to start up a factory to locally produce Sodium Hydroxide and Chlorine and expects to produce Hydrochloric Acid, Poly Aluminium Chloride and Sodium Hypochlorite as by products of the said project. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Industries, to vest the block of land where the old chemical factory in Paranthan is located and which has been enjoyed by Paranthan Chemicals Limited since 1954, with the said Company on long term lease basis, enabling to employ the same land for the said project, was approved by the Cabinet.
