Entering into Memoranda of Understanding between Sri Lankan Universities and Foreign Universities aiming at Educational Collaboration

- The Cabinet approved the proposals made by the Minister of Education, to enter into following Memoranda of Understanding, with the objective of improving the educational collaboration with foreign universities for elevating the universities of this country to a higher level in the world university rankings in accordance with the Government Policy Framework.

* The Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Manipal School of Life Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India for Joint Collaborative Activities.

* The Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Peradeniya and the SAARC Agriculture Centre for Joint Collaborative Technological Collaborative Activities.

* The Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Colombo and the University of Malaya,Malayasia.

* The Memorandum of Understanding between the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency of Australia for Information Exchange, cooperation in Quality Assurance and Networking of Institutes.

* The Memorandum of Understanding between the Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya and the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta, Canada.
