Entering into an Agreement with the University of Colombo and Taylor's University, Malaysia to implement a Research Project

- The University of Colombo and Taylor's University, Malaysia have entered into an agreement to implement a Research Project on the extent and nature of unhealthy food and drink TV marketing using girls and boys across 09 countries in Asia. The International Development Research Center of Canada provides financial assistance to Taylor's University, Malaysia for the purpose. Accordingly, Taylor's University will arrange the financial provisions required for the functions discharged by the University of Colombo. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the proposed project, was approved by the Cabinet.
