Increasing the PCR capacity during the third wave of COVID-19 Pandemic

- With the detection of the new COVID variant, the demand for the COVID PCR tests in the government laboratories has been increased up to 20000 per day at present and there is a trend of increasing the demand. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to take action to purchase the test kits and other consumables required for PCR tests, was approved by the Cabinet.
