Establishment of 500 Container Based Cross - Fit Gyms at selected locations throughout the Country

- It has been scheduled to establish 500 Container Based Cross - Fit Gyms countrywide under the theme of 'lets win' in view of directing the youths towards active lifestyle and giving some motivation for the progress of the field of sports. The estimated cost for this is Rs. 625 million and approximately 100,000 general public and 5000 athletes would be able to accrue benefits by implementation of the project. It is expected to delegate the responsibility of running these Gyms to the Youth Societies and Sports Clubs at the regional level and to assign at least one trainer to each Centre. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Youth and Sports to implement the proposed project in the years 2021-2022 and to build said Container Based Cross - Fit Gyms, covering 250 selected areas countrywide in the year 2021, was approved by the Cabinet.
